Place the coil spring tower reinforcement on top of coil spring tower and clamp it into place (Figure 14).

CAUTION: 

The right and left coil spring tower reinforcement brackets are not interchangeable.

Tack weld the spring tower reinforcement to the coil spring tower.

NOTE: 

Refer to the Welding Procedure Specifications Chart for all welding information.

Verify that the coil spring tower reinforcement is properly positioned and then weld the reinforcement into position as shown in Figure 15.

NOTE: 

Refer to the Welding Procedure Specification chart to determine the correct direction that welding must be performed (flat, overhead, vertical up or
down).

7.

Paint all exposed metal with flat black paint. After the paint is dry, apply a coat of undercoating material.

8.

Repeat steps 1 through 7 on the other side of the truck.
