REMOVAL

Exhaust System-to-body Ground Strap

WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, REFER TO ELECTRICAL, RESTRAINTS BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY
STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. FAILURE TO
TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL
INJURY.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the nut and washer that secures the exhaust system-to-body ground strap eyelet terminal to the exhaust pipe clamp.
3. Remove the screw that secures the exhaust system-to-body ground strap eyelet terminal to the right body sill panel.
4. Disengage the clip that secures the exhaust system-to-body ground strap from the hole on the top of the right frame rail.
5. Remove the exhaust system-to-body ground strap from over the top of the right frame rail.
