Front Door Handle: Service and Repair
Interior Door Handle
INSIDE DOOR LATCH/LOCK REMOTE CONTROL
Removal
1. Move window down and then disconnect battery.
2. Remove trim panel.
3. Move window up. (If window is electrically operated, disconnect battery after moving window)
Linkage And Remote Control Access
4. Partially remove air and water shield.
5. Disconnect remote control assembly to latch links at the latch.
6. Remove links from anti rattle clips.
7. Remove remote control assembly by removing the three mounting bolts.
Installation
1. Load remote control assembly and links and loosely fasten the three mounting screws.
2. Position the locking knob of the new remote control assembly to the locked mode along with the latch and push remote control assembly forward.
3. Torque remote control assembly mounting screws to 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.).
4. Connect remote control assembly to latch links.
5. Insert links into anti-rattle clips.
6. Connect battery, window down, install trim panel.
