5. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the front HVAC housing from the vehicle when servicing the instrument panel ducts. The
instrument panel should be removed separately.
6. Remove the instrument panel and place it on a workbench.
7. Remove the instrument panel cover.
8. Remove the screws (1 and 4) that secure the passenger side instrument panel duct (2) and the demister duct (3) to the instrument panel support (5).
9. Remove the screw (2) that secures the inner demister duct (6) to the passenger side instrument panel duct (3).
10. Disconnect the inner demister duct from the passenger side demister duct (4) and remove the inner duct.
NOTE: If the foam seal on the instrument panel duct is deformed or damaged, it must be replaced.
11. Disconnect the passenger side instrument panel duct from the center distribution duct (1) and remove the instrument panel duct and demister duct
as an assembly.
12. If servicing the center distribution duct, remove the screw (7) that secures the distribution duct to the instrument panel support (5).
13. Remove the screws (1 and 4) that secure the driver side instrument panel duct (2) and the demister duct (3) to the instrument panel support (5).
