BLOWER HOUSING
Removal
1. Remove the heater-A/C housing.
2. Remove the sheet metal screws from the recirculating air intake grille under the instrument panel.
3. Remove the screws and the stud nut that secure the recirculating air housing to the right cowl side panel in the engine compartment.
4. Lift the housing out of the engine compartment.
Installation
1. Position the blower and recirculating air housing assembly to the dash panel and right cowl side panel openings.
2. From under the instrument panel, install the recirculating air intake grille sheet metal screws and stud nuts to the recirculating air housing.
3. From the engine compartment, install the screws and the stud nut that secure the recirculating air housing to the right cowl side panel.
4. Install the heater-A/C housing.
FRONT BLOWER MOTOR
Removal
1. Remove the top half of the radiator fan shroud. Move the top half of the shroud out of the way.
2. Unplug the wire harness connector for the blower motor.
3. Remove the blower motor cooling tube.
4. Remove the nuts and washers from the studs that secure the blower motor to the blower housing.
5. If equipped with air conditioning, pull the suction and discharge lines inboard and upward while pulling the blower motor assembly from the
housing.
6. Remove the blower motor assembly from the vehicle and make the necessary repairs.
Installation
1. Apply a small bead of RTV silicone rubber adhesive to the blower mounting plate gasket-seal. This will keep it in place during assembly.
2. Index the blower motor on the mounting studs and install the washers and nuts.
3. Install the blower motor cooling tube.
4. Plug in the blower motor wire harness connector.
5. Install the radiator fan shroud.
