SYMPTOM/CONDITION

The front brake pad wear sensor may have a broken warning light wires. This condition will prevent the brake pad wear warning light from illuminating
in the instrument cluster.

DIAGNOSIS

When servicing the front brakes, inspect the condition of the brake pad wear sensor warning light wires on both sides of the vehicle.

If the wire is broken, proceed with the following repair procedure. If the wire is not broken, perform steps #2 and #8 only.

2 - 1/4 In. Diameter Heat Shrink Tubes (As Required)

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the plastic grommet (A) from the frame rail. See Figure 1.
