Install the new parking brake control (F39Z-2780-A). Reconnect the front cable.

4.

Disconnect the front and rear cables from the equalizer, Figure 2.

5.

By hand, push and pull each cable in its housing to make sure of smooth action.

6.

Install the new front cable return spring (FO9Z-2A651-A) on the equalizer, Figure 3. Reconnect the cables.

7.

Remove the steel lock pin from the parking brake control assembly.

CAUTION:
DO NOT REMOVE THE STEEL LOCK PIN UNTIL THE CABLES ARE CONNECTED TO THE EQUALIZER. PIN REMOVAL RELEASES THE
