Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Upper Mount
REMOVAL
1. Remove water pump pulley shield screws, then shield.
2. Install three bar engine support D88L-6000-A, or equivalent, to existing engine lifting eyes and support engine.
3. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring from power steering pump switch connector, then remove power steering pressure hose bracket bolt from
upper front engine support bracket.
4. Place a towel below power steering pressure hose line to pump connection, then disconnect pressure hose from pump and position hose aside. Do
not allow power steering fluid to contact drive belt. Damage to drive belt may result.
5. Position ignition wires away from upper front engine support bracket.
6. Remove front engine support self-locking nuts and discard nuts.
NOTE: Engine support nuts are self-locking and must be replaced with new self-locking nuts when serviced.
7. Remove upper front engine support bracket from vehicle.
8. Remove radiator coolant recovery reservoir bolts and position radiator coolant recovery reservoir aside to allow clearance for upper front engine
support insulator removal.

9. Remove front engine support insulator bolts, then insulator from righthand front fender apron.
