Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.
  1. Remove the heat shield.

  1. Disconnect the selector lever assembly.
    1. Disconnect the selector cable adjusting cap.
    1. Disconnect the selector cable.
    1. Remove the nuts.
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Remove the selector lever assembly.
    1. Remove the cover.
    1. Lift out the selector lever assembly.
    1. Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.

Installation
  1. Install the selector lever assembly.
    1. Connect the selector lever electrical connector.
    1. Position the selector lever.
    1. Install the cover.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Install the selector lever assembly.
    1. Install the nuts.
      NOTE:
      NOTE:Do not lock the selector cable adjusting cap.
    1. Connect the selector cable.
  1. Install the heat shield.
  1. Lower the vehicle.
  1. Adjust the cable and selector lever.
