Disassembly
Remove the front seat.
For additional information, refer to
Seat - Front
in this section.
Disconnect the safety belt warning indicator electrical connector.
Detach the wiring harness from the seat base.
NOTE:
The safety belt buckle anchor bolt is part of the buckle assembly and should not be separated.
Remove the safety belt stalk.
Detach the outer seat base cover.
Remove the three retaining screws.
Release the retaining clip above the center retaining screw.
Release the front retaining clip.
Disconnect the wiring harness.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the retaining clips on the seat base.
Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
Detach the seat backrest motor drive cables.
Disconnect the drive cable connectors at the backrest motor on the seat base.
Detach the seat base wiring harness from the front edge of the seat base frame.
Disconnect the seat position electrical connectors.
Detach the wiring harness from the front edge of the seat frame.
Detach the wiring harness (cont'd).
Disconnect the seat height motors.
Detach the wiring harness from the seat runners.
Remove the seat track assembly.
Detach the seat cover at the base of the backrest.
Detach the retaining strips from the underside of the seat.
Detach the seat cover from the seat frame.
Detach each of the six plastic retaining strips.
Detach the Velcro strip on the back edge of the seat base cushion.
Remove the seat cover and pad.
Pull the cover through from the underside of the seat backrest.
Detach the seat cover from the seat base retaining brackets.
Remove the seat cover and cushion assembly.
Assembly
To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
