27. Connect the passenger air bag module jumper harness to the passenger air bag module electrical connector on the vehicle wiring harness.
Vehicles without side air bags
28. CAUTION: Do not deactivate the side air bag module circuit by removing the side air bag bridge resistor from the side air bag electrical
connector. If the side air bag bridge resistor is removed, an open circuit fault will be generated by the restraints control module (RCM).
If a restraint system diagnostic tool is installed, a low resistance fault will be generated by the RCM.
Do not disconnect the side air bag bridge resistor from the side air bag electrical connector.
Vehicles with side air bags
NOTE: If the front seat outboard side bolsters have the word AIRBAG embossed on them, the vehicle is equipped with side air bag modules.
29. Disconnect the passenger seat side air bag module electrical connector, located at the lower rear of the seat cushion pan.
30. Attach the restraint system diagnostic tool to the seat harness side of the passenger seat side air bag module electrical connector.
