ISSUE
Some 2006 E-Series 150/250/350 vehicles equipped with a 5.4L engine and E-Series 350 vehicles equipped with a 6.8L engine built before 8/22/2006
may exhibit the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on with intermittent diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0316 with or without additional misfire DTCs
P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308, P0309, P0310, and/or DTC P0606 (ECM/PCM Processor).
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release B43.15 and higher or B44.5 and higher. This new calibration
is not included in the VCM 2006.7 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
