Removal
1. Remove the left engine support insulator.
2. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Disconnect the 2 coolant hoses from the engine oil cooler.
5. Remove and discard the oil filter.
6. CAUTION: If metal, aluminum or foreign material is present in the oil cooler, diagnose the mechanical concerns that exist. Failure to
follow this instruction may result in additional engine damage.
Remove the threaded insert and the oil cooler.

Inspect and discard the oil cooler.
7. Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
8. Remove the EOP switch.
