Removal and Installation
Adjust

NOTE:

The vehicle must be at unladen weight, i.e. with an empty load space and up to half a tank full of petrol.

1. Raise the vehicle on a non‐wheel free hoist as the vehicle must be on its wheels during the valve adjustment.
If a new valve linkage has been fitted

2. Rotate the spacer tube until the end face of the rubber seal lies within the width of the setting groove.

3. Crimp the spacer tube against the flats on the threaded rod.
4. Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
If an existing valve linkage requires adjustment

5. Adjust the valve.
1. Hold the threaded rod by the flats.
2. Rotate the adjusting nut.
3. The adjustment is correct when the end face of the rubber seal lies within the width of the setting groove.
6. Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
