Clutch
The clutch consists of a single disc dry clutch with a diaphragm spring operated pressure plate bolted onto the flywheel.
The short release lift of the clutch allows low clutch pedal pressure, and short pedal travel.
Torsion springs in the clutch disc prevent transmission vibration and clutch judder.
If necessary, during service, a steel bush may be fitted in the release bearing guide. The release bearing with steel bush has a larger inside diameter.
Vehicles built up to '96 MY have automatic clutch adjustment. They can be upgraded to the latest level if necessary.
