Escort L4-122 2.0L SOHC VIN P SFI (1999)
8. Remove the (A) two bolts and the (B) camshaft thrust plate.
9. Remove and discard the cup plug from the rear of the cylinder head.
10. Remove the camshaft from the rear of the cylinder head.
Installation
1. Note: Thoroughly coat the cylinder head cam bore with Super Premium 5W30 SAE Motor Oil X0-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford
specification WSS-M2C153-G prior to camshaft installation.
Install the camshaft through the rear of the cylinder head.
2. Install the (1) camshaft thrust plate and the (2) bolts.
3. Install the cup plug.
