Constant Velocity Joint: Service and Repair
Halfshaft Outboard
Disassembly
1. Secure the front wheel driveshaft and joint in a vise using protective jaw covers.
2. Remove the front brake anti-lock sensor indicator if equipped, using a punch to drive it off the joint housing, and discard.
3. Remove the two front wheel driveshaft joint boot clamps and discard.
4. Slide the front wheel driveshaft joint boot back out of the way exposing the outboard driveshaft joint.
