25. Attach the restraint system diagnostic tool to the vehicle harness side of the RH side air curtain/safety canopy electrical connector.

Vehicles with side air curtains

NOTEthe weatherstrip is lowered, if retaining clips are present in the door jamb at the C-pillar pinch weld the vehicle will be equipped with side air
curtains.

26. lower the rear LH door opening weatherstrip.

27. Remove the LH side C-pillar trim panel clips.

28. Position the LH side C-pillar trim panel out of the way.

Pull the lower portion of the trim panel outward to release the lower tab.

Pull the trim panel downward to release the upper tabs. Slide the trim panel down the safety belt, out of the way.

Vehicles with safety canopies

NOTE: Once the weatherstrip is lowered, if retaining clips are not present in the doorjamb at the C-pillar pinch weld, the vehicle will be equipped
with side air curtains.
