57. Insert the axle shaft and engage it with the side gear.
58. Push in on the (A) axle shaft and install a new (B) snap ring.
NOTE: Do not reuse old snap ring.
59. Install the dust boot.
(1) Fully extend the actuator motor shaft and plug the vacuum port.
(2) Position the actuator motor.
(3) Install the dust boot.
60. With the (A) actuator motor shaft fully extended and the (B) vacuum port plugged, engage the (C) shift lever.
