6. NOTE: On Dana model 50 axles, position the new collapsible spacer inside the axle housing before installing the pinion bearing and the oil
slinger.
Install the new collapsible spacer (Dana model 50 axles), and the differential pinion bearing and the oil slinger.
7. Install the pinion seal, using the Seal Replacer.

Lightly coat the pinion seal lip with Premium Rear Axle Lubricant XY-80W90-QL or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSP-M2C197-A.
8. Install the differential pinion bearing, using a suitable press, the Axle Bearing/Seal Plate, and the Rear Axle Bearing/Seal Replacer for Dana model
60 axles or the Pinion Bearing Cone Replacer for Dana model 50 axles.
9. On Dana model 60 axles, install a new collapsible spacer.
