Removal & Installation: Differential Case - F450 4WD Super Duty V10-68L (1999)
12. NOTE: Index mark the flange to the pinion shaft.
Remove the flange, using the Companion Flange Remover.
13. CAUTION: Use care not to damage the pinion, the bearings and the cup.
Remove the pinion.

Tap the pinion through the outer bearing, using a soft face hammer, and remove the pinion through the rear of the axle housing.
14. Remove the pinion seal, using the Puller and the Impact Slide Hammer. Discard the seal.
15. Remove the oil slinger and the differential pinion bearing.

On Dana model 50 axles, remove the collapsible spacer after removing the slinger and the bearing.
