1. Remove the suspension unit. For additional information, refer to the procedure in this section.

2. 

   WARNING:As the spring is under extreme tension care must be taken at all times. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
   Partially compress the spring.

3. Disassemble the strut and spring assembly. Spring clamps removed for clarity.
   1. Remove the thrust bearing nut.
   2. Remove the thrust bearing.
   3. Remove the spring seat.
   4. Remove the spring.
   5. Remove the boot.
   6. Remove the bump stop.
   7. Remove the dust cover.

   NOTE:Make sure that the spring ends butt correctly against the upper and lower spring seats.
   To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
