Removal and Installation

Removal

CAUTION:
CAUTION:If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork the affected areas must be immediately washed down with cold water.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure the brake fluid reservoir filler cap does not become contaminated.
    Remove the brake fluid reservoir filler cap.
    1. Disconnect the low brake fluid warning switch electrical connector.
    1. Remove the filler cap.

  1. Drain the brake fluid reservoir.
    1. Connect a bleed tube from the front right-hand bleed nipple to a suitable container.
    1. Loosen the bleed nipple and continue to depress the brake pedal until all the brake fluid is displaced.
    1. Tighten the bleed nipple.
    • Carry out the same procedure on the left-hand side.

  1. Disconnect the clutch feed line.

  1. Remove the brake fluid reservoir.
    • Detach two clips each side.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Use new O-ring seals if necessary
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Bleed the brake system. For additional information, refer to Section  206-00 Brake System - General Information.
