Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the tie rod end. Refer to the procedure in this section.

  1. Remove the steering gear boot retaining clips.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure the tie rod is clean before removing the steering gear boot.
    Remove the steering gear boot.
    1. Disconnect the breather pipe.
    1. Slide the boot off the tie rod.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
