Engine Emission Control - 1.4L Duratorq-TDCi (DV) Diesel - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler Fiesta 2002.25 (11/2001-)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Section  303-03A Engine Cooling / 303-03B Engine Cooling / 303-03C Engine Cooling / 303-03D Engine Cooling.
  1. Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to Section  303-12 Intake Air Distribution and Filtering.

  1. Remove the EGR tube elbow retaining screws.

  1. Disconnect the EGR cooler coolant hoses.

  1. Remove the EGR cooler to electronic EGR valve clamp.
    • Discard the clamp.

  1. Remove the EGR cooler retaining bolt.

  1. Remove the EGR cooler and EGR tube assembly.

  1. Remove the EGR cooler from the EGR tube.
    • Discard the clamp.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new EGR cooler to electronic EGR valve clamp.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new EGR cooler to EGR tube clamp.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
