Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the front bumper cover.
    For additional information, refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

  1. Remove the radiator undershield.
    • Detach the rear washer hose from the radiator undershield.

3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal Details

Item 1 : Condenser core

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When supporting the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud to the radiator grille opening panel, make sure that the cable ties are long enough to allow the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud to lower approximately 10 cm below the original position.
    Loosely support the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud to the radiator grille opening panel with cable ties.

Item 2 : Rear washer hose

  1. Detach the rear washer hose from the rear washer hose retaining clips on the radiator support bracket.

Item 4 : Radiator support bracket

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not place excessive strain on the condenser core pipes.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:When supporting the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud, make sure that the cable ties are long enough to allow the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud to lower approximately 10 cm below the original position.
    Remove the radiator support bracket and support the cooling fan motor and shroud, radiator and condenser core.

Item 10 : Charge air cooler

  1. Remove the charge air cooler.
    • Slide the charge air cooler upwards.

NOTE:
NOTE:Make sure that the charge air cooler is clean and free from oil residue.

Item 8 : Charge air cooler intake hose

NOTE:
NOTE:Make sure that the inside of the charge air cooler intake hose is clean and free from any oil residue, as this will reduce the installation grip of the hose to the charge air cooler.

Item 6 : Charge air cooler outlet hose

NOTE:
NOTE:Make sure that the inside of the charge air cooler outlet hose is clean and free from any oil residue, as this will reduce the installation grip of the hose to the charge air cooler.

Item 1 : Condenser core

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When installing the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud to the original position, make sure that the cable ties can be easily removed and discarded.
    Install the condenser core, radiator and cooling fan motor and shroud.
