Wait at least one minute after disconnecting the battery ground cable(s) before commencing any repair or adjustment to the supplemental restraint system (SRS), or any component(s) adjacent to the SRS sensors. Remove the floor console.

Remove the steering column.

Remove the climate control assembly.

Remove the instrument cluster.

Remove the A-pillar trim panels. | | | -
Detach the data link connector (DLC) from the driver side lower instrument panel. | | | -
Detach the liftgate remote release control switch from the instrument panel. | | | -
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the liftgate remote release control switch. | | | -
Detach the passenger air bag deactivation (PAD) switch from the instrument panel (if equipped). | | | -
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the passenger air bag deactivation (PAD) switch (if equipped). | | | -
Disconnect the center register air discharge temperature sensor electrical connector. | | | -
Remove the air temperature sensor. - Detach the air temperature sensor from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the air temperature sensor electrical connector.

Detach the passenger side footwell noise,vibration and harshness (NVH) material from the glove compartment. | | | -
Remove the glove compartment. - Press the sides of the glove compartment towards the center to release the glove compartment stops.
- Pull the glove compartment forwards to release the retaining clips.

Remove the passenger air bag module support bracket. | | | -
Disconnect the passenger air bag module electrical connector. | | | -
Remove the instrument panel outer side trim panels on both sides. | | | -
Remove the instrument panel inner side trim panels on both sides. | | | -
Remove the instrument panel outer retaining screws and nut on both sides (left-hand side shown). | | | -
Remove the instrument panel center retaining nuts. | | | -
NOTE:Detach the instrument panel from the cross-vehicle beam to gain access to the exterior lighting control switch electrical connector. Disconnect the exterior lighting control switch electrical connector. | | | -
Remove the instrument panel. | Installation | | -
To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | |
