ISSUE
Some 2009-2010 Focus vehicles may exhibit wind noise from the front or rear door glass which may be the result of the window glass binding, stalling
or being dislodged from the glass top run when closing. This may be caused by the door glass not entering the glass top run properly.
ACTION
Follow the service procedure to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the door glass top run(s) for damage. Is any damage present?
a. Yes - Perform the following: Perform Steps (1-4) as required for each suspect window run.
(1) Remove damaged door glass top run. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-11.
(2) Apply Motorcraft(R) Trim and Weatherstrip Adhesive, or equivalent to new glass top run in the areas indicated. (Figure 1)

Install new glass top run per WSM, Section 501-11.

Place window in full closed position; do not operate window for one hour.
b. No - Proceed to Step 2. Perform Steps 2-5 as required for each suspect window run.
2. Pull the door glass top run away from the upper channel.
3. Apply Motorcraft(R) Trim and Weatherstrip Adhesive, or equivalent to the areas indicated. (Figure 1)
4. Install window run into upper channel.
5. Place window in full closed position; do not operate window for one hour.
