Evaporative Emission Canister - 3-Door/5-Door
REMOVAL
WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR
ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENTS. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND CAN IGNITE. FAILURE
TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid tube.
CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid.
5. Disconnect the fuel tank vent tube.
