Oil Pan: Service and Repair
Oil Pan
Removal
1. Remove the catalytic converter.
2. Drain the engine.

Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
3. NOTE: Inspect the oil drain plug seal for damage. Install a new oil drain plug if necessary.

Install the oil drain plug (engine shown remove for clarity).
4. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts (engine shown removed for clarity).
5. CAUTION: Do not damage the mating faces of the oil pan and the lower crankcase.

Using a suitable spatula remove the oil pan (engine shown removed for clarity).
