Antenna

The antenna is located on the passenger side lower section of the windshield. The antenna and antenna cable are a one piece design and can only be replaced as a unit. The antenna is bonded to the windshield. If the windshield is removed for any reason a new antenna must be installed. The positioning of the antenna is critical.
For additional information, refer to Antenna - Cellular Phone in this section.

Portable support module

The portable support module is located behind the glovebox and is retained by a screw. The portable support module controls the operation of the cellular phone and also relays the information to the audio unit.

Audio unit

The audio unit must be cellular phone compatible. Inspect the audio unit for a phone symbol which should appear after the model number (only available on 5000 and 6000 audio units).

Cellular phone and handset holder

The cellular phone locates into the handset holder and can be removed by pressing a button on the handset holder. The handset holder has two connections which are located under the center console. One connection is to the portable support module and the other connects to the antenna.

Remote control stalk

The remote control stalk can be used to select functions without using the cellular phone handset. For additional information refer to the Audio Guide.
