Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
  1. Remove the charge air cooler.
    Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 2.5L Duratec-ST (VI5), Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the right-hand front headlamp.
    Refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the inside of the pipe ends are clean and free of oil residue.
    Torque: 4 Nm

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Turn the ignition key to position II and wait for one minute to initialize the throttle body.
  1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
  1. Initialize the door window motors.
    Refer to: Door Window Motor Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
