Removal and Installation Removal | -
Disconnect the charge air cooler outlet pipe from the throttle body housing and position it to one side. | | -
Detach the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the valve cover. | | -
Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (valve cover oil separator shown removed for clarity). | | -
Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector (valve cover oil separator shown removed for clarity). | | -
Disconnect the fuel injection wiring harness electrical connector. | | -
Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector. | | -
Remove the coolant expansion tank retaining bolt. | | -
Detach the coolant expansion tank and position it to one side. | | -
Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector (generator shown removed for clarity). | | -
Detach the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket (throttle body housing removed for clarity). - Release the locking tangs.
- Detach the accelerator cable.

Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body linkage. | | -
Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors and remove the fuel injection wiring harness (throttle body shown removed for clarity). | Installation CAUTION:Make sure that the inside of the charge air cooler outlet pipe end is clean and free from any oil residue as this will reduce the installation grip of the pipe to the throttle body intake housing. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the engine. | -
To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | |
