Removal and Installation Removal WARNING:Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. WARNING:The fuel system remains pressurized for a long time after the ignition is switched off. The fuel pressure must be relieved before attempting any repairs. Remove the throttle body. For additional information, refer to Throttle Body in this section. | | -
Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors. | | -
Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose. - Discard the retaining clip.

Remove the fuel pressure regulator. - Discard the fuel pressure regulator O-ring seal.

Remove the fuel injection supply manifold and fuel injection supply manifold heat shield. | | -
Remove the fuel injectors from the supply manifold. - Slide the clip to release the injector.
- Remove the injector.

NOTE:Install new injector O-ring seals. NOTE:Install a new fuel pressure regulator O-ring seals. NOTE:Install a new fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose retaining clip. To install, reverse the removal procedure. - Lubricate the fuel injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil to aid installation.
