Description and Operation

Introduction

The Ford Fusion is a newly designed vehicle in the Ford product range and is supplied exclusively as a 5-door model.

General design features

The design of this vehicle includes many components, such as the floor pan, which have been adopted from the 2002.25 Fiesta. Only small modifications have been made to the floor pan, in the area of the rear panel. Furthermore, various retaining plates and retaining brackets have been attached to the floor pan for ancillary components.

Front-end body componets such as the front side members with pre-determined folding points, the front sheet metal crash element (crossmember) and the bolted plastic front module are identical to those of the 2002.25 Fiesta. The rear-end side members with pre-determined folding points have also been adopted from the 2002.25 Fiesta.

NVH measures

The positioning of the NVH elements, installed to prevent air conduction of noise to the vehicle interior, are identical to those of the 2002.25 Fiesta.

NOTE:
NOTE:Gases harmful to health will be released if the insulation material is heated too much. Make sure that the insulation material installed in production is not damaged by cutting or sanding tools when cutting out bodywork parts.
