Removal and Installation
General Equipment
Transmission Jack
Brake Hose Clamp
Removal
Remove the wheel bearing.
For additional information, refer to
Wheel Bearing
in this section.
Detach the brake hose from the brake backing plate.
Disconnect the brake tube union.
Remove the brake hose retaining clip.
Release the brake hose from the bracket.
Remove the rear brake disc shield from the trailing arm.
Using a suitable
brake hose clamp
, clamp the brake hose.
CAUTION:
Cap the brake tube to prevent fluid loss and dirt ingress.
Detach the brake tube from the trailing arm.
Disconnect the brake tube union.
Remove the brake hose retaining clip.
Detach the brake tube from the trailing arm.
Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the trailing arm.
Detach the cable from the protective sleeve.
Detach the cable from the clamps.
Disconnect the parking brake cable from the trailing arm.
Remove the spring.

Detach the headlamp levelling sensor connecting link from the trailing arm (if equipped).
Remove the trailing arm.
Installation
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
