Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the tie-rod end.
    For additional information, refer to Tie-Rod End in this section.

  1. Remove the steering gear boot.
    1. Remove the tie-rod end locknut.
    1. Remove and discard the steering gear boot retaining clamps.
    1. Remove the steering gear boot.

Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Install new steering gear boot retaining clamps.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
