Removal and Installation

CAUTION:
CAUTION:Do not remove the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition switch at the same time or damage to the column may result.
  1. Remove the ignition switch. For additional information, refer to Ignition Switch in this section.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Clean all metal shavings and debris after cutting slots in the steering lock module bolts.
    Cut slots into the heads of the 2 steering lock module bolts.
  1. Remove the 2 steering lock module bolts.
    • Discard the steering lock module bolts.
  1. Remove the steering lock module clamp.
  1. Remove the steering lock module.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Align the ribs on the steering lock module with the window of the steering column tube.
    • Align the locating pin with the slot on the locating bracket of the steering column.
    • Tighten the steering lock module bolts until the heads of the bolts shear off.
