In-vehicle Repair

Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02 Jacking and Lifting.
  1. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Engine Lubrication Components — Exploded View and Oil Pan in this section.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Discard the gasket and clean and inspect the gasket mating surfaces.
    Remove the 2 bolts and the oil pump screen and pickup tube.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
