Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and the accelerator control cover shield.
    • To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
  1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.

  1. Squeeze the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the bracket.
  1. Remove the bolt and the accelerator cable bracket from the upper intake manifold.
    • Detach the speed control cable pin-type retainer from the accelerator cable bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  1. Detach the accelerator cable retainer

  1. Remove the cable from the accelerator pedal.
  1. Remove the accelerator cable grommet from the dash panel.
  1. Remove the accelerator cable.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
