Removal and Installation

Removal and Installation

LH or RH fenders
  1. Remove the headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to Section 417-01 Exterior Lighting.
  1. Remove the fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to Fender Splash Shield in this section.
  1. Remove the fender moulding. For additional information, refer to Section 501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation.
RH fender
  1. Remove the antenna mast and the antenna base fender grommet.
LH or RH Fenders
  1. Remove the side lamp.
    1. Push the side lamp rearward.
    1. Pull outward on the front of the side lamp and remove.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  1. Remove the 2 lower fender bolts
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The front door must be open to gain access to the rear fender bolt.
    Remove the rear fender bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  1. Remove the radiator support brace fender bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE: On the RH side, the antenna base is mounted to the body inside the fender opening. The RH fender must be lifted over the base during removal.
    Remove the 4 upper fender bolts and the fender.
    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
