Body Closures - Rear Door Hinge Adjustment Maverick 2005 (08/2004-)
General Procedures

  1. Remove the front seat safety belt retractor. For additional information, refer to Section 501-20A Safety Belt SystemSection 501-20B Supplemental Restraint System.

  1. Mark the positions of the rear door hinges to use as reference points.

  1. Loosen the 2 exterior rear door hinge-to-body bolts.

  1. Loosen the 2 interior rear door hinge-to-body bolts enough to permit movement.

  1. Adjust the rear door to specification.

  1. Tighten the 4 rear hinge-to-door bolts.
  1. Check the front door adjustments. For addtional information, refer to Door Adjustment — Front or Door Alignment — Front in this section.
  1. Install the front seat safty belt retractor. For additional information, refer to Section 501-20A Safety Belt SystemSection 501-20B Supplemental Restraint System.
