Removal and Installation

Removal and Installation

Both rear seat backrests
  1. Tilt the 2 rear seat cushions to the forward position.
  1. Tilt the 2 rear seat backrests to the forward position.
  1. Remove the 3 rear carpet pin-type retainers and position the carpet aside.
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and bolt from the 40 percent rear seat backrest bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  1. Position the 40 percent seat backrest to the upright position.
  1. Release the latch and tilt the 40 percent rear seat cushion to the forward position.
  1. Remove the bolt from the 40 percent rear seat backrest bracket and remove the 40 percent rear seat backrest.
    • Position the safety belt buckle through the guide.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
60 percent rear seat backrest
  1. Remove the nut from the 60 percent rear seat backrest bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  1. Position the 60 percent rear seat backrest to the upright position.
  1. Release the latch and tilt the 60 percent rear seat cushion to the forward position.
  1. Remove the rear seat safety belt anchor bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  1. Remove the bolt from the 60 percent rear seat backrest bracket and remove the backrest.
    • Position the safety belt through the guide.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
Both rear seat backrests
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
