Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Remove the upper engine cover.

  1. Detach the coolant hose and remove the air intake pipe.

  1. Remove the air intake pipe and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) tube retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the power steering pump belt.
    • Rotate the tensioner clockwise.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
