Removal and Installation Removal | -
Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. - Disconnect the intake air bypass hose.
- Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hoses.
- Detach the air cleaner outlet pipe retaining clips.

Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector. | | -
Remove the air cleaner housing. - Detach the upper secondary air cleaner intake pipe from the air cleaner.

Remove the battery tray. - Remove the retaining clips.

Remove the upper secondary air cleaner intake pipe retaining bolt and position the upper secondary air cleaner intake pipe to one side. | | -
Disconnect the ignition switch and battery to starter motor solenoid cables. | | -
Remove the starter motor retaining bolts. | | -
CAUTION:Care must be taken to remove the starter motor through the coolant hose. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the coolant hose. Remove the starter motor. | Installation | -
To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | |
