Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Remove the engine upper cover.

  1. Detach the EGR cooler to EGR valve tube from the EGR valve.
    • Discard the gasket.

  1. Detach the charge air cooler outlet pipe from the EGR valve.

  1. Disconnect the EGR valve vacuum line from the EGR valve.

  1. Remove the EGR valve from the intake manifold (intake manifold shown removed for clarity).

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new EGR cooler to EGR valve tube to EGR valve gasket.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
