Seat Latch: Adjustments

The front seat back latch is modular so it does not require customer or dealer adjustments or maintenance. Do not lubricate the front seat back latch.
Lubricating the front seat back latch will adversely affect free rotation of the locking cams. The only authorized service permitted on the inertia and
manual latch mechanism is the following:

installation of all retaining screws as required

replacement (in entirely) of a damaged or nonfunctional front seat back latch

removal of any foreign material, such as tie straps, pieces of foam and trim
