Mustang GT V8-4.6L SOHC VIN X (1998)
3. Install eight retaining nuts. Tighten in sequence to 18-22 Nm (14-16 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube. Tighten connector to 35-45 Nm (26-33 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove safety stand and install LH motor mount to front sub-frame crossmember nut. Tighten both motor mount to front sub-frame crossmember
nuts to 128-172 Nm (95-126 ft. lbs.).
6. Install oil bypass filter.
7. Connect steering shaft to steering gear. Tighten pinch bolt to 28-40 Nm (21-29 ft. lbs.).
8. Install dual converter Y pipe.
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Position engine compartment brace on front fender aprons and dash panel. Install six retaining bolts. Tighten retaining bolts to 20-30 Nm (15-22
ft. lbs.).
11. Connect battery ground cable.
12. Start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
