Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Right Side
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine compartment brace from front fender aprons and dash panel.
3. Raise vehicle on hoist.
4. Remove dual converter Y pipe.
5. Remove starter motor.
6. Loosen the LH motor mount to sub-frame retaining nut.
7. Remove the RH motor mount to sub-frame retaining nut.
8. Raise engine using a safety stand and block of wood positioned under crankshaft pulley approximately 38 mm (1.5 inch).
9. Remove eight nuts retaining exhaust manifold to cylinder head and remove RH exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold gasket
INSTALLATION
1. Clean mating surfaces of exhaust manifold and cylinder head.
2. Position exhaust manifold gasket and RH exhaust manifold to cylinder head and studs.
