3-4 Clutch Pack Installation
6. Install 3-4 clutch pack, then the pressure plate with step facing upward.

7. Measure clearance of 3-4 clutch snap ring and pressure plate. Clearance should be 0.051-0.059 inch. If clearance is not as specified, select a
pressure plate which will bring clearance to specification.
8. Lubricate bearings, then install on both sides of 3-4 clutch drum.
9. Check clutch operation as follows:
a. Apply 57 psi or less of compressed air through fluid passages.
CAUTION Do not apply compressed air for more than three seconds.
b. Fill clutch drum with transaxle fluid. Ensure 3-4 clutch piston is fully submerged.
c. Apply compressed air and ensure no air bubbles come from 3-4 clutch piston seal.
